About

This is where I keep notes on the popular mathematics and physics books I read. I never studied either subject past the first year of university, but I keep coming back to them, and I find I understand a book much better once I have tried to write down what it actually said.

The notes are not reviews in the usual sense. They are closer to what I would scribble in the margins: what clicked, what didn’t, what I still don’t follow. Some are short, some go on a bit.

Every so often there is also a photo from home, mostly of the household’s resident black-coated supervisor, who does not read but has opinions about the chair I read in.

Nothing here is sponsored, and there are no comments. If you spot a mistake in the maths or physics, it is almost certainly mine.
